I started out working in stained glass, the art form that brought shards of shattered light into the medieval cathedrals. Since then glass has become a medium for concept-based work pushing the use of the material where I am more concerned about what glass art can be than what it is.

My work is project-based, and has largely been linked to the movement of time, memory traces and fragmentary collections. Recurrent keynotes are fragility, oblivion, – and an attempt at understanding the indefinable sense of a meta plane within the boundaries of everyday life.

Spending most of my artistic career moving between the wilderness of the Norwegian West Coast and a diversity of European capitals has of course formed my outlook and frame of reference. City life gives me the opportunity to meet others, hermit life in the nature the opportunity to meet myself.
