Cabinet A & B

SCRAPS OF TIME

By collecting mementoes
Rendering time
Into substance
A history is created
So I can see who I am
When I forget
Mementoes crack and age
Like us
But they resist time eating them
To stay as vigilant proof
That we were here
Once

Traces of history
Of memory
Present
Become past
Become
That which has gone
And cannot be undone
Time
Of little consequence
Since there is so
Much of it around
For a while
